Emma first caught Owen’s eye at V Festival a few years back, so Wild Weddings in Great Tey, Colchester was the perfect place to spend the first weekend of the rest of their lives together. If you’re looking for an alternative wedding venue, this glamping experience will not disappoint and your special day will be enjoyed & remembered by all your guests for a very long time to come.
Even though it rained the day before and after, someone was definitely looking down on Emma & Owen as their wedding day was bathed in glorious sunshine!
The ceremony was held at St Clements Church which can be found at the top of Leigh Hill. Father Clive gave an beautiful ceremony and his speech of love, it’s evolution and how it’s a gift felt like it was written especially for Emma & Owen.
Driving an hour from the church to your reception and braving the A120 on a Saturday afternoon is not for the fainthearted, but when your perfect venues are an hour’s drive apart, sometimes you just MUST make it happen. Luckily, for once the A120 was free of incidents and we made it to the party in good time.
Once the speeches were finished, it was time for this wedding festival to get into full swing. I love a live band at a wedding and The Mementos did not disappoint. Filling the dancefloor all evening and providing the perfect festival atmosphere!
From beginning to end I felt a real sense of fun and warmth amongst Emma & Owens friends and family. This truly was an amazing & unforgettable wedding day.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Smith!
